Ridgeway Audi Oxford technician wins a Bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games

Congratulations to Oxford Audi technician, Dan Rivers, who this afternoon (Friday 25th July) won a Bronze medal in the 10m Air Rifle Final at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Shooting

He is a member of Wantage Target Shooting Club and has been shooting since he was 14 and training for nine years.

Rivers, 23, from Didcot, had qualified for the final with a Games record score ahead of team-mate Ken Parr in second. But the duo were usurped by Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra and Abdullah Baki of Bangladesh in a tense encounter.

Well done Dan – we’re so proud of you.

Dan also competes in the 50m Rifle Prone event on Monday.
